Hold onto your virtual hats, folks! SUI has rocketed its way to become the 26th-largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

Bitcoin enthusiasts had their hearts racing as BTC hit a monthly high of $64,800, only to slide back by about a grand. But fear not, the crypto rollercoaster isn't over yet!

Chainlink stole the spotlight as today's top performer among the big-name altcoins, while SUI continued its meteoric rise with a jaw-dropping double-digit surge.

Last Wednesday, the crypto world was buzzing with volatility when the US Federal Reserve dropped the key interest rates by 50 basis points. BTC had its ups and downs but ultimately soared to $64,000 by Friday morning.

After a chill weekend, Bitcoin went on the attack again on Monday, almost touching $65,000. But the bears had other plans, dragging it down by over two grand.

The bulls, ever resilient, launched another offensive in the past 12 hours, pushing BTC back up to $64,800. Yet, just like before, it couldn't quite break the $65,000 barrier and now hovers below $64,000.

BTC's market cap is holding steady around $1.260 trillion, but its dominance is slipping a bit, now down to 53.8%.

While many big-name altcoins are taking it easy today, Ethereum and Binance Coin are down by 1-2%, and Tron is following suit. On the flip side, SOL is up by a similar margin, cruising at $150. DOGE, SHIB, TON, and BCH are also enjoying minor gains.

ADA is making moves with a 3% increase, nearing the $0.4 mark. LINK has jumped by an impressive 7%, trading above $12. But the real star of the show is SUI, the mid-cap altcoin superstar, soaring over 12% in a day, 45% in a week, and a staggering 80% in a month. Now sitting pretty at $1.75, it's officially the 26th-largest cryptocurrency.

Other notable gainers include SEI (24%), POPCAT (9%), and NOT (8%).

The total crypto market is holding steady at around $2.350 trillion, pretty much unchanged from yesterday.
