Hold onto your hats, crypto fans! Binance is gearing up for a big upgrade this week, and here's the scoop.
Binance is set to roll out a significant service upgrade on September 25, aiming to boost system performance and stability. The process is expected to take around three hours, so brace yourself for some temporary hiccups.
During this upgrade, you might experience brief interruptions across all Binance services, including account login, registration, and trading (Spot, Margin, Futures, P2P, etc.). VIP account services and other features might also be affected. But don't panic—the interruptions should only last a few minutes for each user, and you'll be back on track in no time.
Rest assured, your data and assets are safe and sound throughout this process. Trading services will still be available via API, so there's no need to worry.
Binance advises users to take precautionary measures to dodge any potential losses. Some handy tips include evaluating and adjusting your account positions and orders, like reducing leverage.
Once the upgrade wraps up, all services will be back to normal. Binance won’t be sharing any more details, so take any online chatter with a pinch of salt.
This isn't Binance's first rodeo with upgrades. Earlier this month, they paused deposits and withdrawals for BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) for some wallet maintenance. They also temporarily suspended services for TON during a similar upgrade after listing Toncoin (TON) on their platform.
Back in mid-July, deposits and withdrawals across all networks were halted for another round of wallet maintenance. Everything was back to business as usual post-update.
So, mark your calendars and make sure you're prepared. Happy trading!
