Over 30 million gamers haven't yet figured out how to cash out their airdrop tokens, but hey, there's still time!

Hamster Kombat’s debut season just wrapped up, and what a ride it's been! Since bursting onto the scene in March 2024, this game has hooked over 300 million users. Talk about a blockbuster hit!

On September 26, a whopping 131 million players qualified for the airdrop, and 60% of those precious tokens were handed out right away. The Hamster Kombat team spilled the beans in a September 22 post on X, revealing that 75 billion out of a total 100 billion HMSTR tokens have been earmarked for the community.

Out of that stash, 60 billion tokens were ready to be distributed right after Season 1 wrapped up, with players getting slightly more than 53 billion tokens in the airdrop. The team also mentioned that the remaining 6.75 billion tokens will be unlocked ten months after HMSTR hits the market. Oh, and there's another 15% of the community allocation coming your way in Season 2!

Even though the airdrop was set for September 26, it's worth noting that over 30 million users haven't picked a withdrawal method yet. But don't fret—you can still claim your tokens!

But wait, there's some drama. Not everyone is thrilled with how the season ended. The game disqualified about 2.3 million players for suspected cheating, and that ruffled quite a few feathers. The announcement didn't dive into the specifics of how they spotted the cheaters, leaving many dedicated players scratching their heads.

Some players who spent months farming keys and racking up rewards took to social media to voice their frustration. Web3 analyst Crypto Pioneer questioned why the game flagged users based on a “key-generating bot,” while others, like crypto educator Crypto with Khan, argued that token distribution was skewed towards referrals and influencers.

Hamster Kombat hasn't responded to these gripes yet. Currently, the game is in an “Interlude Season,” offering players a chance to earn extra rewards like diamonds, which are set to be a big deal in the next phase of the game.

As for the HMSTR token, it's still not officially listed, but it does have a futures contract trading on OKX at $0.009279 at the moment. That's almost a 95% drop over the past month, with the contract once peaking at $0.010.

So, stay tuned, keep playing, and watch out for those diamonds—they might just be your ticket to the next big thing in Hamster Kombat!
